.. Weapons In Aikido

Weapons are an integral part of aikido, making use of 3 principal types of weapon: the bokken (sword), the jo (staff) and the tanto (knife). Aikido weapons are the foundation of understanding open-hand techniques, movement, and control. Training involves an extensive range of solo and partnered attacks and defences.
